Yiftach

A mighty warrior of Gilead, son of Gilead by a prostitute, driven out by his brothers and later called back to lead against the Ammonites (Judges 11:1-11). He vowed to offer to the LORD whatever came out of his house if he returned victorious, and it was his only daughter who came out to meet him (Judges 11:30-35). The text records that he judged Israel six years, then died and was buried in Gilead (Judges 12:7). He is named among those commended for faith in Hebrews 11:32; his birth year is not stated, and the bar reflects his six years as judge.
