Rachel

The younger daughter of Laban, whom Jacob loved and for whom he served seven years (Genesis 29:16-18,20). She was barren until God opened her womb, and she bore Joseph (Genesis 30:22-24). She died giving birth to Benjamin on the way to Ephrath, that is Bethlehem, and was buried there (Genesis 35:16-19). Her death is recorded but not dated, and her birth year is not stated; the bar reflects an estimate.
